tour operator will see you picked up from airports, transferred to
upmarket hotels and tours and excursions booked for you in advance. A
typical tailormade tour itinerary of Colombia will see you fly into the
capital city Bogota for a
couple of nights, where you can enjoy fine restaurants and explore the
old quarter. After seeing Bogota, you might consider booked a 2 or 3
night package to Villa de
Leiva, a beautiful old colonial town 4 hours overland travel
north of Bogota that has a range of lovely colonial hotels. The Salt
Cathedral of Zipaquirá is en route to Villa de Leiva and should not be
missed.
After a tour of Villa de Leiva you can
return overland to Bogota to catch an onward evening flight to a range
of other suitably upmarket travel destinations in Colombia. The
colonial city of Cartagena
should not be missed and has many beautiful luxury colonial hotels,
such as the Santa Clara Hotel. Other destinations commonly included in
